Crumpled by Kathleen Cassen Mickelson

Kathleen Crumpled

Minnesota-based writer Kathleen Cassen Mickelson loves how Minnesota is referred to as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, when there are so many other things Minnesota has 10,000 (or more) of: mosquitoes, coffeehouses, jokes that involve Ole and Lena, hot-dish recipes, bratwurst grilling techniques, aliases for Minneapolis-based musician Prince. Okay, maybe not that last one, but name-dropping is kind of fun.

Kathleen is the joint managing editor of the online daily poetry journal Every Day Poets (www.everydaypoets.com), and she writes the blog One Minnesota Writer (oneminnesotawriter.blogspot.com). She’s even been known to Tweet a thing or two (@kcmickelson). While Kathleen works in multiple genres, her first love may well be buttered popcorn.

Most people find they enjoy Kathleen’s blog at One Minnesota Writer

By the way, if you ask Yahoo! Answers what Minnesota has 10,000 of, you’ll find that there may actually be 11,842 lakes.
