Kathryn Almy muddles along in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she works in a public library and writes poetry and creative nonfiction. She is grateful to her talented critique-group friends for their genius at revision, which has helped hone this poem (originally written in the reverse order) and many others.
Most recently, her poetry and prose has been published in The Offbeat, Star 82 Review, The New Verse News, and The 3288 Review. Her work also appeared in such publications as City of the Big Shoulders: A Chicago Poetry Anthology (published by University of Iowa Press), Great Lakes Review’s narrative map, and the anthology Immigration and Justice for Our Neighbors which was published for the benefit of Justice for Our Neighbors – West Michigan.
Kathryn has a website which is embarrassingly out of date, but hope springs eternal! If you really want to find it, it’s googleable.
