Michael Chin was born and raised in Utica, New York, and currently writes and teaches in Corvallis, Oregon, where he also serves as the managing editor for the new literary journal 45th Parallel at Oregon State University. He won the 2014 Jim Knudsen Editor’s Prize for fiction from the University of New Orleans and has previously published work with journals including Bayou Magazine, Weave Magazine, The Rappahannock Review, and The Pacific Review. In his spare time, he is currently making his way through a re-watch of Beverly Hills 90210 with his fiancée Heather, and he blogs regularly about a cappella music and professional wrestling.
