Oonah has always had night horrors and they have spawned many stories and poems. It is a testament to the tenacity of these terrors that this piece was written so recently — last October to be precise. The dark has lost none of its dread. Nightmares and imaginings hold sway. It is Oonah’s avowed ambition to become an adult one day but this seems to be taking rather more that the usual 20 years — three times as long to date, and counting. When it happens she will be able to give up writing.
