Jacqueline Jules is a school librarian who left public education when the testing environment became ridiculous. As a reader, she devours every genre—biography, poetry, essays, science fiction, mystery, etc. As a writer, she doesn’t restrict herself to one genre, either.  Her work has been published in over 100 journals and she is the author of 30 books for young readers on a wide variety of topics. She is also the author of two poetry books, Field Trip to the Museum (Finishing Line Press) and Stronger Than Cleopatra (ELJ Publications). Visit

  1. Jacqueline you are courageous! Leaving a first love like education is very hard to do. Think of it now as a bigger classroom with people who hang on every syllable and sound you can make.
Love the poem. Very nice. The thoughts on subject is calming yet inspiring about living in the after life of education. I am with you there! Keep on …keeping on!
