KateLynn Hibbard’s books of poems are Sleeping Upside Down and Sweet Weight, and she is working on Simples, a manuscript of historical poetry about women’s experiences in the Great Plains frontier. Apparently she can not write a book that doesn’t start with the letter “S.”  She also edited When We Become Weavers: Queer Female Poets on the Midwest Experience, so there may yet be hope for the rest of the alphabet.  She teaches creative writing, composition, and women’s studies at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.  She grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and still thinks cows are mighty awesome.

  1. Rich and warm and takes me from this table in the desert to want to hear a fiddles song and watch the yellow sap make it way down the grizzled side of an ancient tree.
    Thank you!
