July Westhale is the author of The Cavalcade, forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in 2016. She lives in Oakland, California, with a cranky cat named Pig(zilla), a fickle fig tree, and a 40″ Flashdance poster. She has a foul mouth, and her tights are always in bad shape. She has been nominated for Best New Poets, the Pushcart Prize, and the Best of the Net. She was the finalist for the 2015 Crab Orchard Poetry Series Prize and the Creative Writing Fulbright. She has an MFA in Poetry from Lesley University.
