Bobby Bolt is finishing the last year of an undergraduate English degree at the University of Illinois at Springfield, and will pursue an MFA in Poetry in Fall 2016. This is his first published poem, and he hopes for more to come as he continues to write. Recently, he gave a reading at the Poetry Foundation in Chicago as a part of their Open Door Reading series for October. When he isn’t writing, Bobby loves taking pictures, mostly of insects and particularly likes spiders. They seem to always be around, yet are so alien from all other life one typically sees. They’re often written off as creepy, but are really quite beautiful.
