Carolyn Helmberger received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska in 2008. She works at the University of Nebraska Medical Center with the Endocrine fellows. (No, she’s not a doctor, but she does play one on TV). She writes poetry and has published in The Chicago Quarterly Review, Controlled Burn, Free Lunch, and other fine journals. She is also a consulting poetry editor for Midnight Circus. She also considers herself to be a bit of a language snob. She cannot live without her husband Lee, her 5 pets, music, BMX, or the Manchester United Red Devils! Come on, you Reds!
