Susan Kelly-DeWitt is the author of The Fortunate Islands, eight chapbooks and the recent online collection Season of Change (Mudlark 46); her poetry can also be found in many print and online journals and anthologies at home and abroad. A former Wallace Stegner Fellow, she has also been a reviewer for the Library Journal and the editor of the online journal Perihelion. She has worked as a freelance writer, as the first program director for the Women’s Wisdom Project, an arts program for homeless and low-income women, as a poet in the schools and in the prisons, as a community college English instructor, as a high school college counselor and as a longtime creative writing instructor for UC Davis Extension. She is currently a member of the National Book Critics Circle, a contributing editor for Poetry Flash and a blogger for Coal Hill Review. Susan is also an exhibiting visual artist.
