Michelle Villanueva is a student who is nearly finished pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing – Poetry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  She is obsessed with barbeque grilling and has been known to try grilling anything that will sit still long enough for her to do so.  (Her cat has learned to keep moving.)  Her chapbook Postscript: Lions (Etched Press) is forthcoming in the fall, and her work has previously appeared in Black Mirror Magazine, The Tower Journal, Foothill Poetry Journal, and other print and online publications.

The author.

“Me, in one of the many headshots that have a drink cropped out of them now that I’m job hunting.”

"Me and my cat, who has no name because she doesn't answer to anything but the sound of her food bag (and I don't know how to spell that)."
