Shoshauna Shy heads up the Poetry Jumps Off the Shelf program out of Madison, Wisconsin, with the mission of bringing poetry to the general public in unexpected ways. Postcards have long played a part in these projects. She also authored a full length collection titled What the Postcard Didn’t Say, and a different postcard poem with that same title can be found at the online journal listed below.

.
Poetry saturates the rest of her life, too. She works for the Wisconsin Humanities Council which helps to fund literary projects, as well as museum exhibits, documentaries, theatre productions, and other programs. Aside from that, Shoshauna has a cat care service which means spending time in the company of cats, a nice accompaniment to reading and writing.
