Lindy Low LeCoq is hell-bent on making sure to keep her focus on Being rather than Doing. When she retired after thirty years as a high school counselor, Lindy was aware how easy it could be to fill each day with trivial doings of little meaning to her. To help herself stay on track she dropped one word from her vocabulary: should.

Today Lindy is should-free. If there is something she wants to Do, she will. If she does not want to, no amount of “shoulding” will change her mind.

Lindy enjoys being a writer, visual artist, landscape gardener, family person, good neighbor and Beagle mom. Three previous works of her poetry and art have been published by PP&P. To see more of her story and work, visit Lindy’s blog at
