David Klugman has been writing poetry for forty years. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins Writing Program in 1983, David left graduate school at Rice University to go into the popcorn business in Los Angeles, CA. It failed as a way to support his need to write. Several years later David found his way back to school (Columbia) where he took a degree that enables him to do what he does today: psychoanalysis. Yes, David has been a psychoanalyst in private practice for 25 years. He writes and publishes both fiction and non-fiction work. Some of his recent creative work can be found at http://emptysinkpublishing.com/visual/prison-forgotten-dreams/, http://www.blackfoxlitmag.com/current-issue/, and a recently published article named “Changing Thoughtforms” can be found at http://www.scirp.org/journal/PSYCH/. David lives and works in Nyack, NY.

  1. Thank you for the excellent David Klugman poem. You might be interested to know that there is a very similar poem by Jean Nordhaus that is one of my personal favorites, called Posthumous.

    • Yes, you’re right – there are many similarities. Thank you for alerting me to this poem!
