Bob Simms is an IT trainer by day, but it’s not as glamorous as it sounds. He was bitten by the writing bug in the autumn of 2006 and is now totally addicted. He lives in the UK (that little theme park off the coast of Europe) with his wife. His ambition is for other people to find him as funny as he thinks himself.  His debut novel – The Young Demon Keeper – reached the semi-finals of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award 2011.  (Doesn’t semi-finalist sound so much better than failed to reach the finals?)

He writes in lonely hotels or on his many train commutes.  He draws portraits, brews his own beer and wine (neither of which are easy on a commuter train) and pretends his contacts on Facebook are real friends.
He has a story blog at snodlander.wordpress.com. An audio story – A Rose by Any Other Name – was published at voxfabula.com. He has a collection of short stories and several darkly humorous fantasy novels on Amazon.
