Nanette L. Avery grew up on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; a small island in the Lesser Antilles. She writes because she likes to paint with words, and it’s a lot less messy than cleaning brushes. Nanette is presently working on a series of video and audio pieces. Her poetry, literary works, and books are available to read and peruse at your leisure via the internet… or take a fork in the road directly to www.nanetteavery.com. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and full figured cat, Pebbles… a mackerel tabby that would rather nap than help with Nanette’s blog at http://bloggingeinstein.wordpress.com.Regarding the photograph that inspired “When Spring Sheds” Nanette says: Part of the charm of living in Tennessee is the beautiful foliage. Outside my home is a Yoshino cherry tree that I discovered liked to show off in full bloom and then shake its petals free…making for a perfect photo op!
